You’ll Need:
- Drop cloth
- Gold spray paint
- Variety of autumnal items, such as pinecones, nuts in shells and dried leaves
- Small bowl or pie tin
- Gold glitter
- Rubber band
- Cinnamon sticks (approximately 20)
- Ribbon (approximately 10”)
- Juice glass (2 ½" x 6")
- 2 votive candles
- Tealight candle
- Small pumpkin (about 3” high)
- Pencil
- Pumpkin-carving tool or serrated knife
- Flat round platter or mirror, approx. 11" diameter
- Orange pillar candle (3” x 9”)
- Gold pillar candle (3” x 6”)
- Amber-colored votive holder
- Orange votive (2” x 2”)
- Red grape bunches, real or artificial
1. In well-ventilated area, lay down drop cloth and place all pinecones and nuts, plus some leaves, on the surface. Fill bowl
with gold glitter. Spray paint all items gold. Before paint dries, roll pinecones, and nuts through glitter.
2. Wrap rubber band around juice glass. Slide cinnamon sticks between rubber band and glass, continuing to add sticks one by one until they wrap fully around the cup. Secure with ribbon and tie in knot or small bow. Place votive candle inside glass.
3. Hold tea light candle on top of pumpkin; lightly trace outline of tea light using pencil. Use carving tool or knife to hollow out enough space to fit tea light inside pumpkin so edges are approximately flush.
4. To form arrangement, line edges of platter with a mix of regular and gold leaves. Set orange pillar in center. Place gold candle to its right and cinnamon-stick wrapped candle cup to left. Set pumpkin in front of orange candle and scatter a mix of gold and regular leaves alone the edge of the platter. Put votive in amber votive holder and place in front of cinnamon-stick wrapped candle cup. Nestle small orange candle between pumpkin and amber votive holder. Fill remaining space around candles by arranging clusters of red grapes, gold nuts and pinecones as desired.
