Decorate for Christmas with these adorable cone trees made from Styrofoam and wrapping paper.
- Ruler or measuring tape
- 3 Styrofoam cones in 3 heights (available at joann.com)
- Plaid wrapping paper in 3 patterns (available at papermart.com)
- Ribbon in different colors, ½" wide
- Hot-glue gun
For each tree, measure cone height and base diameter. Cut square of wrapping paper that is 2" taller and three times wider than diameter of cone base.
Lay wrapping paper on table, wrong side up. Lay cone on its side on top of wrapping paper. Align bottom edge of cone with bottom edge of paper.
Holding edge of paper to cone, carefully roll together until you reach end of paper. Secure with tape. Trim excess wrapping paper from bottom of cone.
Cut a 6" length of ribbon and tie in a bow. Trim ends to desired length; affix to top of tree with glue gun.
