Use buttons to rejuvenate an old set of placemats and napkins, or purchase a new set for this project.

YOU’LL NEED:

  • Buttons
  • Fabric glue
  • Placemats and napkins
  • Needle and thread
1. First, take your time deciding where you want the buttons, then use the fabric glue to adhere them to the fabric.

2. Sew in place.

3. Decide whether you want to use matching or contrasting thread to sew the buttons. Also, you can play with different types of stitches. For instance, if the button has four holes, try sewing it in place with an "x" stitch.
