Make a designer gift box

YOU'LL NEED  • Box with lid • Toile fabric • Pencil • Ruler • Scissors • Iron • Spray adhesive • White glue

Step 1: Place box bottom-side down in the center of the underside of the fabric. Mark the outline of the box bottom with a pencil.

Step 2: Measure the box sides, add 1 inch to height, and draw the pencil lines out from the box. Cut away corners so you end up with a cross pattern. Trim the pattern, then turn all edges under ½ inch and press with an iron.

Step 3: Turn box upside down, and in a well-ventilated work area mist the box with spray adhesive. Place the box bottom on the marked fabric and press down. Smooth the fabric up the box sides and over the top. Brush white glue on the inside of the box, under the overlapping fabric strips, and press to secure. Repeat with box lid.
