You don't have to be afraid of making your own costumes -- with this simple DIY lion costume, creating a cute look for your kid isn't at all scary! Just follow these step-by-step instructions: many of the supplies can already be found around your home.
Hot glue the ears at the bottom. Fold the long tail strip in half lengthwise and hot glue down the length. Attach a few inches of tassle trim to the end of the tail with glue.
Cut out paws from tan felt and attach to the bottom of feet (or socks or booties) with hot glue.
Cut out four shorter lengths of fringe for arms and legs and attach with needle and thread or hot glue.
Measure the hood or hat and cut out three longer lengths of fringe for the mane. Hot glue the three pieces together and attach to the hood or hat with hot glue or a wide stitch. Attach the ears.
