Cut out six pieces of patterned fabric measuring 13 x 14 1/4 inches. Cut six pieces of fabric in varying colors or patterns again measuring 13 x 14 1/4 inches. With right sides together, pin and stitch the squares together along their shorter sides, as illustrated, to make four strips of patchwork measuring 13 x 41 1/4 inches. Press the seams open.
