Make a spooky haunted house

You'll Need

  • Black Krylon Fusion for Plastic spray paint
  • Dollhouse
  • 12 popsicle sticks
  • Scissors
  • Sheet of amber cellophane
  • Black tempera paint
  • Paint brush
  • Hot-glue gun
  • 2 large pinecones
  • Dried Spanish moss
  • Dried or artificial flowers
  • Marker
  • String of small white Christmas lights

 

 

  1. Apply two coats of spray paint to house (both inside and out) and to eight popsicle sticks.
  2. Cut squares or rectangles of cellophane slightly larger than dimensions of windows.
  3. Working from inside the house, glue cellophane to window frames.
  4. Carefully break tines off pinecones.
  5. Use hot glue to attach a single row of tines to edge of roof to look like shingles.
  6. Decorate exterior with Spanish moss and flowers; glue in place.
  7. Board up windows and doorways with black popsicle sticks. Glue in place.
  8. Use remainder of popsicle sticks to make "Keep Out" and "Beware" signs.
  9. String lights inside house.
