Make snappy planters

Dress up empty paint cans in bright, cloral oilcloth for your own decorative planters.


YOU'LL NEED:

  • Goo Gone (magicamerican.com) 
  • Paint cans, empty and clean 
  • Hammer 
  • Nails 
  • Tape measure 
  • Scissors 
  • Oilcloth 
  • Craft glue (such as Elmer’s)

 

  1. Using Goo Gone, remove labels and glue from cans. Remove handles from gallon cans.
  2. With hammer and nail, make several holes in base of cans for drainage.
  3. Measure height and circumference of cans. Cut oilcloth to size.
  4. For gallon cans, cut two holes in oilcloth to fit over raised area where handles were.
  5. Apply glue to wrong side of oilcloth and glue to can. Let dry completely before using.
