Turn a plain glass vase into something unique with just a little paint.
STUFF YOU HAVE
- Clear glass vase
- Wax paper
STUFF YOU NEED
- Acrylic craft paint in two colors ($2; at Michaels)
TOTAL COST $2.00
Step 1: Pour a quarter-size dollop of each color of paint into the vase. (Use slightly more paint for a large vase.)
Step 2: Swirl paint by tilting vase. Paint will move slowly, so be patient. If paint doesn't move, clean out vase and let dry, then start over, mixing a few drops of water into paint before adding it to vase. Continue tilting vase until interior is completely coated with paint.
Step 3: Place inverted vase on a piece of waxed paper and let dry overnight. Paint will continue to move, so your design will change during the drying process.
Tip: Let the vase dry for a few days before adding water and a bouquet of flowers.
