Breath new life into ceramic tiles and planters

Apply stencil designs or a whole new hue to ceramic tiles, trivets or the base of a lamp.

• Scuff surface with 220-grit sandpaper and make sure it is even. Wipe with a damp rag. Let dry.
• Use premium-grade all-purpose primer and paint (choose water- or oil-based).

If you’re painting a tile wall: Use a bathroom cleaner with a mild abrasive to scrub it prior to sanding. For best results, use primer and paint that are specially formulated for ceramic tile and carefully follow manufacturer's instructions.

• Note: Painting floor or shower tiles is not recommended.
