Don’t fall prey to scams
The holidays are prime time for identity theft. If you get an e-mail that takes you to a site where you’re asked to enter
personal information such as your social security number or a credit card number, watch out.
Look at the URL address in the browser bar. Scammers have become increasingly sophisticated at concocting sites that mimic
well-known stores. When in doubt, don’t follow the link but instead type the store’s correct address into the browser bar
to do your shopping.
