The Rx: Run a scan
Immediately run a scan using antivirus software (Norton AntiVirus is one option, $40; Norton.com). If it detects a virus, you’ll be alerted once it’s been eliminated. If you don’t have antivirus software (or yours is out of date), download a free virus-scanning tool from avg.com or download.com to get through the storm. If that doesn’t work, call your computer’s manufacturer for further assistance.
