Shop through your bank

Many banks and credit cards offer an online mall. When you shop at the site, the bank credits money back to your account (normally 1 percent to 10 percent of your purchase). First, sign on to the shopping site and browse the list of participating online stores. Click on the store you want, load up your virtual cart and check out as you normally would. Your bank keeps track of purchases and makes a deposit or a credit to your account. For example, if you have a Citi credit card, you can shop through the Citi Bonus Cash Center to get rebates from more than 400 online retailers, including Macy’s (2 percent back) and Domino’s Pizza (6 percent back on gift cards).
