Simplify filing with a computer program that does the calculations for you. Software helps you avoid mistakes; it won’t allow you to file an incomplete form. Try TurboTax (free or up to $100, depending on your situation; turbotax.com). If your AGI is less than $56,000, you can participate in the free IRS Free File program. At irs.gov, select “Free File” under the Filing and Payments header for information.
