Washing the walls
HOW OFTEN? Once a year
Clean painted walls add a fresh sheen to any room.
- Make sure your walls are washable before starting.
- Vacuum the walls with the dust-brush attachment.
- Dilute an all-purpose cleaning solution in warm water, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Using a fast-drying microfiber mop to clean from the top of the wall to the bottom, working on a few square feet at a time. Wipe tough-to-reach crevices and baseboards with a sponge.
EXTRA CLEANING TIP: If your kids have used your walls as a giant coloring book, try a good old-fashioned gum eraser to remove crayon marks.
