Book Review: The Cross Country Quilters, by Jennifer Chiaverini

Julia is an aging actress, determined to master quilting for her new movie role. Donna’s daughter is slipping away from her, and Megan is trying to adjust to life as a divorcée. Then there’s Grace, protecting the secret that’s brought her quilting to a standstill, and cheerful Vinnie, determined to overcome her sad history. When all five women befriend each other at the Elm Creek Quilt Camp in Pennsylvania, they agree to a challenge: Each must tackle her troubles before contributing a piece to a quilt they will sew together next year. Quickly, the craft turns into a comfort, as each woman learns how friendship can help weave together a fraying life.
