Don't break your diet at breakfast! These recipes all taste great, fill you up and come in under 400 calories!
- ¾ cup batch-cooked steel-cut oats (or use ¾ cup cooked rolled oats)
- 2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 apple, finely chopped
Mix oatmeal and walnuts. Form mixture into 3 patties (¼ cup each). Mist skillet with cooking spray and “fry” oatmeal patties until hot and golden, 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Stir together maple syrup, cinnamon and 3 Tbsp. water; add apple pieces. Microwave until apple is tender, 2 to 3 minutes, stirring once. Serve on oatcakes.
