If you're seeing extended family after the 25th, hold off until just after the holiday to pick up those presents. With so many post-Christmas sales happening, you can find tremendous bargains.

TIP: Babies aren't old enough to appreciate presents, so rather than spend a lot of money on gifts for your new nieces, nephews and cousins, consider a colorful handmade card instead.
