PEACH-BANANA SMOOTHIE
Serves 4
Place 2 peeled, sliced peaches, 2 bananas, 27 oz. orange juice and 12 ice cubes in a blender and mix until smooth. Serve
in tall glasses.
Choose the best fruit. Pick the ripest peaches you can find for the sweetest flavor.
WATERMELON LEMONADE
Serves 4
Place 6 cups watermelon cubes (seeds removed), 1/4 cup raspberries and 1 cup cold water in a blender, cover and mix until
smooth. Strain into a pitcher. Stir in 1/3 cup sugar and 1/2 cup lemon juice until sugar dissolves. Refrigerate 1 hour, stir
again and serve in frosted glasses.
Sweeten to taste. Adjust the amounts of sugar and lemon depending on how sweet you like this refreshing drink.
CHERRY POP
Serves 2
Place 3/4 cup cola, 2 cups frozen cherries (not thawed), 1 cup nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt and 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice in a blender and mix until smooth. Serve in tall glasses.
Go retro. Serve this sweet smoothie in old-fashioned soda fountain glasses.Pineapple Slush
Serves 4
Pour 34 oz. pineapple juice into a freezer-proof container, cover and freeze for at least 2 hours. Remove from freezer and take off lid. Stir with a fork, breaking up ice crystals. Pop back into freezer for 2 hours longer. Remove from freezer, spoon slush into glasses and serve.
Try other flavors. Don't like pineapple? Try grape, apple or orange juices.
CALIFORNIA CRANBERRY-BERRY SMOOTHIE
Serves 2
Puree 1 banana, 1 cup frozen low-fat raspberry yogurt, 2/3 cup cranberry juice, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries and 1/2 cup frozen raspberries in a blender until smooth.
Swap the yogurt. Can't find raspberry frozen yogurt? Vanilla would be just as delicious.
