Treat yourself to a bit of bacon
Keep an extra package in the freezer to add snap to dishes for pennies.
Give zing to greens. Cook hearty greens such as mustard or collards with a few chopped slices of bacon.
Add spark to stuffing. Instead of sausage, add cooked crumbled bacon to your favorite stuffing recipe. Saute the vegetables in the bacon fat for
even more flavor.
Make it a starter. Cut bacon slices in half crosswise, sprinkle with a brown sugar, season with pepper and bake at 425ºF for 5 to 10 minutes
until crisp. Serve as an appetizer.
