Way to go! You’re doing a terrific job so far! This week’s focus is on getting more exercise. Use these easy ways to meet your goal of walking 10,000 steps a day:
- When you talk on the phone
Instead of sitting on the couch, pace back and forth or walk laps around your house as you chat.
- When you watch television
Instead of using the remote to channel-surf, get up and switch stations yourself (you might have to hide the remote!).
- When you let the dog out
Instead of opening the back door so the dog can run around in the yard, take your pet for a 10-minute walk around the neighborhood.
- When you spend time with your family
Instead of heading to the movies, go to a museum or, better yet, take a trip to the park so you can play kickball or tag.
