Liven up lackluster skin

Try bronzer on eyes, lips and face. Pull out this look for occasions that call for understated glamour.

GET THE LOOK

Brighten eyes. Select a warm shadow that's a hint darker than your lids: peachy gold for fair complexions, light bronze for medium and olive tones, and metallic mocha for dark skin. Swipe a light coat of mascara on top lashes only.

Make yourself glow. First, apply a warm peach or apricot blush over the apples of your cheeks, then sweep a bronzer onto the spots where the sun naturally hits your face. Focus on your forehead, cheekbones and the bridge of your nose and chin. Unless you're ghostly pale, don't dust bronzer all over.

Even out lip color. The key to this look? Keep the face monochromatic. To hide your lips' natural pink hue, create a nude base by filling in the entire mouth with a skin-tone pencil, then swipe on a matching gloss.

PLAY IT UP

Go for the gold. Dab shimmery shadow onto the inner corners of eyes and the center of the upper lids. The product will catch the light and make your eyes sparkle.

PLAY IT DOWN

Swipe on fresh color. Instead of a neutral lip shade, slick on pink or peach for a pop of color.
