Step two: Even out your skin tone
The less makeup you put on, the less likely it will slip and slide, so work in thin layers. First apply a pea-size amount
of oil-free liquid foundation (or tinted moisturizer for a sheer finish) only where you need it. Then dab a bit of concealer
over red areas and dark spots. Use a slightly damp makeup sponge to thin out the foundation and a small stiff concealer brush
to cover up only the precise spot.
If breakouts are a concern, look for a clarifying, matte-finish foundation like Rimmel London Stay Matte Clarifying foundation ($7; at mass retailers). The salicylic acid cleans out clogged pores.
