Keep your fall and winter boots looking great no matter the weather—and for years to come—with these easy tips, including how to clean leather boots, how to waterproof leather and suede boots, how to store boots, and more.
How to Properly Store Boots
Never fold boots or cram them into a shoe rack; creasing or otherwise rumpling the leather could lead to a permanently misshapen boot and could cause the leather to dry out and crack.
Instead, store boots upright. To keep taller boots from folding over, roll up a few magazines or catalogues and place them inside. Another option is to cut a pool noodle into four pieces and use them to stand boots straight. Ideally you want to store boots in a closet or another spot far from heat sources, like radiators, or direct sunlight.
