Ruffle V-neck shirt

YOU’LL NEED:

• 2 yards ruffled ribbon (3 yards for extra-large shirt)
• Scissors V-neck shirt
• Fabric glue (such as Unique Stitch)
• Straight pins

1. Cut ribbon into three equal pieces.

2. Lay shirt on flat surface, front facing up. Make a thin bead of fabric glue on reverse side of a piece of ribbon, close to edge. Starting at shoulder seam and working down toward point of V, adhere ribbon and neck line up. As you adhere ribbon at V, gather slightly (you might want to secure ribbon at V with a straight pin until glue dries) so that it looks neat and ribbon is not pulling the fabric. Continue to adhere ribbon around collar to other shoulder seam. Trim ribbon at seam.

3. Repeat with remaining pieces, tucking each about 25 percent under preceding piece to create a layered effect.
