Extend the Life of Tights—By Throwing Them in the Freezer!
Strangely enough, freezing your tights before you wear them for the first time may actually help your tights last longer. Freezing temperatures firm up fibers in new tights, preventing runs. Here's how the trick works: When you bring new tights home, soak them in cold water (no need to wash) and then place the pair in a sealable plastic bag in the freezer overnight. Let them thaw and air dry. Now they’re ready to be worn!
