Fashion a unique frame

Fashion a unique frame

Trim a plain wood frame with a bow and charm, and use it to hold a baby picture. Makes a great gift.

You'll Need:

  • White paper
  • Paper-edger scissors
  • Glue
  • 4"x 5" wood frame
  • Wire-edged ribbon
  • Metal letter charm
  • Snapshot

1. Using paper-edger scissors cut four strips from white paper: two 1/2" x 4 1/4" strips and two 1/2" x 3 1/2" strips. Cut both ends of each strip at a 45-degree angle, so that the corners will fit together neatly (see photo).

2. Glue the paper strips onto the front of the frame to make a border. Cut 6" of wire-edged ribbon and tie into a bow. Secure the bow to the bottom of the frame with glue. Glue a metal letter charm on the bow's knot for a personal touch. Place snapshot inside frame.

Stir old memories with a black-and-white photo. If you don't have one, make one by using the black-and-white settings on a color copier while photocopying your favorite picture. Everything you need to make this frame can be found at Michaels.com...except your personal snapshot, of course!!!
